  • Description:Used 1973 Buick Riviera GS for sale - $30,000.00 with 137,000 miles. 1973 Riviera GS Survivor all original 1973 Buick Riviera GS. All-original Survivor. VIN 4Y87U3H436431 Last year for the boattail. Only 3,931 made that year, fewer with factory console shift and even fewer with factory power sunroof installed by GM's American Sunroof Company (instruction papers from the glove box included as pictured). A few things do need repair, but everything is here. Perfect for a full restore, or you can just drive as-is and enjoy the honks, thumbs and stares while she grows in respect and value as heads turn. Owned since 2014, preceded by my dad who owned it since early '80s. I have no documentation from before that. Mileage is estimated since the odo broke on him at 28,900 (128,900 I guess) and as soon as I bought it from him I had that fixed.  I've put on about 1k per summer, so I estimate she has around 150k.  Cruise works, too, though like '70s vacuum cruise...works. Drips a little oil, but the appraiser said all classics do. Never in snow since Dad bought it; never in rain intentionally and always garaged by both of us. Dad had the half-vinyl roof removed and repainted the entire car a similar white to the original color. Very few dings and scratches. Paint shines great for its age; a good coat of carnauba wax each spring is all she needs. All chrome is good-to-great with no dings or bends. Wheels and taillight trim have a little pitting. Starts/runs normally; only smokes a little on start-up sometimes, probably normal for 1973. The choke on the Quadrajet carburetor I had rebuilt (and only run non-ethanol gas through) sets with one press of the gas pedal. I replaced the rotted exhaust pipes with stainless dual pipes (pictured) and Flowmaster Delta 50s (listen to the video with headphones to hear the lows; no, not cammed; completely stock!). The only other non-stock items are the yellow plug wires, the Pertronix ignition under the distributor cap that was wisely suggested by a friend to aid starting and running, and embroidered floor mats. Link to YouTube vid of cold startup: https://youtu.be/XrnNcckQ1gs?si=gUMne8RYeQw5q7fN All the windows work. The rear deck fan to keep the fog off the inside of the boattail window works. I think it is the original material on all seats with one small spot on the driver's seat near the console where the vinyl piping has worn through to the threads; all the other seats have no wear issues. Dash is perfect--NOT cracked and you can see in the pics how un-faded the woodgrain details and gauges are. As for the few things needing repair (that I happily cruised 10 years without): 1) the a/c (compressor, etc. all still there, and the inside fans and settings/levers/heater and even the scrolling-number thermostat still work), 2) the sunroof motor works but the panel is off the chain and has a scratch at the back. It slides back and forth by hand, which is how I used it--Dad doesn't remember when or how that happened, 3) a few dash bulbs are out and the clock doesn't work and 4) a mechanic said it could use new suspension bushings all around. All easy GM things to get. No unobtainable parts to go find. Like I said, everything is here. Includes a spare set of Radial T/As I only kept on 1 summer (see 1 pic) with maybe 1k miles, because I like her better on whitewalls and went right back. Current whitewalls are less than 5 years old. I'm only looking for her next worthy owner because I bought a motorhome and only have time to polish and pamper one whale.Serious inquiries only. No trades. Only Cashier's checks that clear my bank get you the clear title from my hand. 81five-26two-148seven.
